As the 2018 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report concludes, the actions or inactions by humanity “in all aspects of society” will be the key determinant to the future on Earth for all creatures.

The Collective will document these immense efforts, illustrating the adaptation or suffering from climate impacts and the measures taken to prevent the worst. The stories produced by the nonprofit reflect the encroaching impacts of climate change on subject matter ranging all of society and the many features of the natural world.

Paramount to our mission are diverse audiences who can see themselves in empathetic images of these measures. Therein exist local, personal and environmental stories within the immeasurable range of efforts and impacts: whether it is adopting sustainable agriculture and infrastructure, activism, renewable energy expansion, carbon removal or the redesigning of transportation within cities, and so forth. The common thread communicated throughout the Deep Indigo visual catalogue is that we all, collectively, share a role in the future of the world.
